Performance software for the BMW V8 M3

Active Autowerke now offers unparalleled performance software for all 2008 on BMW E9X M3 that uplifts the V8 4.0 liter to new levels in BMW performance tuning.  Through careful remapping of the factory BMW DME tables, various elements such as ignition timing, fuel delivery, and part throttles are reworked to create performance gains.
On some of the BMW V8 M3s, there are inherent situations of a rough, cold start idle that makes for poor drivability.  With the new Active Autowerke software, the camshaft vanos tables are also re-mapped to eliminate this rough idle scenario to a smoother, cold start idle.
The Active Autowerke upgraded software is designed to operate with gasoline that has an average octane rating with full emissions to create a clean burning combustion with good AFR’s all within factory specifications.

The RPM limiter for each gear is also replaced to a higher range with the speed limiter also removed (optional).  These are all designed to work in unison for maximum performance.

Other added features are added to enhance with the Active Autowerke performance software. The Stationary RPM Limiter raised, the RPMs are held at a constant rate until the car start to move, this is similar to the LAUNCH CONTROL mode on the 6MT owners.  The RPM threshold can be varied, but Active recommends a 4000 rpm for this Launch Control.

Other optional feature are available such Race Gas Tunes, Nitrous Tunes, and Off-road applications.  Custom configurations are available when pairing with the Active Autowerke Signature Exhaust system, pulley upgrade or Cold Air Intake system.
